Bigknit Cafe is a hybrid spot tucked on the first floor of RQMALL Sukhumvit 49, blending the casual comfort of a café with the tactile charm of a knit and yarn store. It’s not just a place for coffee or a quick bite—it’s where locals come to slow down and connect with a more hands-on, creative side of Bangkok’s Watthana district.

If you come in the morning, you’ll find the cafe opening at 9am with a calm, peaceful vibe perfect for settling in with a warm drink and a pastry. Many visitors arrive early to grab a quiet seat before the knitting classes start around 10am, creating a subtle buzz as beginners and experienced knitters gather around communal tables. For those less inclined to stitch, the café-style food menu offers approachable, homemade flavors: coconut cake is a standout, frequently ordered alongside light bites like club sandwiches and pasta dishes. The food here comfortably fits into a casual, day-long visit rather than formal dining.

The atmosphere is relaxed yet lively—often filled with the soft sounds of yarn needles and conversation. Staff are known to be friendly and patient, particularly with knitting newcomers, providing tips and encouragement as people work on their projects. This sense of community makes it a unique mix of a local hangout and a creative workshop.

Bigknit appeals especially to those who appreciate a quieter, more tactile experience within Bangkok’s lively café scene. It’s a welcoming spot for anyone who wants to combine a casual meal or coffee break with a chance to browse or pick up quality yarns, premade knitted goods, or even join a knitting session. Weekdays, especially mornings and early afternoons, tend to be the best times for those who want to enjoy both the food and the crafting space without the weekend crowd.

In short, Bigknit sits comfortably at the crossroads of lifestyle and café culture, offering a space that’s part eatery, part creative hub—a place where sipping coffee and making something with your hands coexist quietly amid the energy of Sukhumvit.

the cafe is so cute opens at 9am. they provide knitting class, however the knitting tutore comes at 10am. I trowd the coconut cake was so good. there are so many yarn options that u can buy too. also, they sell premade knitted bags. I made a bog bag for my laptop it took me 2.5hr to finish because I missed with with the sizes.the tutored was very patient with me and gave me good advise. since the bag is big and used about 3 yarns it cost was about 2.500 baht.

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at this cafe! The food tasted great but since I had ordered alot of things with cheese, they got a bit rich for me which was helped greatly by them already providing ketchup with each menu that had cheese! Very thoughtful. After eating we went to make keychains, but because they only had the big strap options(no thread keychain option, only thicker ones like ours or even thicker), we were unsure if we would be happy with our design but eventually we were extremely happy! They were also kind enough to take off the straps from displays since we didn't like the available straps, which made us pleasantly surprised. The owner/staff are all kind of quiet but if you ask them things they will be more than willing to help and teach. We stayed for around 3-4 hours in total, just catching up and taking our time with the keychain designs and they did not hurry us at all. I would definitely reccomend to a friend to come here!

Big Knit is a cozy haven for craft enthusiasts and food lovers alike. Tucked into a small space, this charming venue manages to pack a lot of warmth, creativity, and good vibes into every corner. It’s not just a café—it’s an experience, blending hands-on creativity with delightful food and drinks. The highlight of Big Knit is its crafting experience, particularly for anyone interested in making custom bags. The staff here is absolutely fantastic. The friendly and skilled ladies are incredibly patient and will guide you through every step of the process. Whether you're a seasoned knitter or a complete beginner, they ensure your bag turns out looking as beautiful as you imagined. Their attention to detail and willingness to help set this place apart from other craft spots. For a price of around 1,100 baht, you get access to all the materials needed—high-quality yarn in a variety of colors and textures—and the opportunity to take your personalized bag home. The cost may seem a bit high at first, but considering the personalized assistance and the unique keepsake you get, it’s well worth it. Adding to the charm of Big Knit is its excellent food and drink menu. While the crafting experience is the main attraction, the café doesn’t skimp on quality when it comes to refreshments. The food is delicious, and the drinks are reasonably priced, making it a great spot to enjoy a bite while working on your project. Overall, Big Knit is a hidden gem for those looking to explore their creative side while enjoying good food and top-notch service. It’s an ideal place to spend a relaxed afternoon, whether you’re flying solo or with friends. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates crafts, great company, and a cozy atmosphere.
